Pre-Father’s Day celebrations – Buckinghamshire, UK

The day before Father’s Day I treated the old man to a day of wandering around some National Trust properties he has never quite got around to visiting (despite living within an hour of them for the last 60 years!). So off we drove to see the stunning Waddesden Manor, followed by the very interesting Hughenden Manor.

It was a lovely day and interesting for me to revisit the venues about a year after I last went. The weather was slightly against us for venturing too far outdoors, but staff at both were very polite and happy for me to hover in corners with my camera (although obviously not my tripod!).
