Presenting vs. Working the Room

I came across this a while ago, but never got round to posting about it, so here goes:

I always love to hear what Gary Vaynerchuk has to say, this particularly got me thinking about how we interact with our audience.  This becomes especially true when it come to social media and turning your message into a conversation.

I particularly like the analogy he uses of ‘Giving a Presentation vs. Working the room’.  These days organisations can’t be the suites up on the stage telling people about their great new stuff and then quietly leaving when they’re done.  There has to be a dialogue and interaction about trying to get your message across.  

TV ad’s are dead, social media dialogues are where it’s at!  Anyway, I’m sure Gary puts it better…
